Corvallis, Oregon is a charming city nestled in the heart of the Willamette Valley. Surrounded by rolling hills and lush greenery, it's known for its friendly community, bike-friendly streets, and strong focus on sustainability. With a population of around 60,000, Corvallis has a small-town feel while still offering plenty of things to do, especially for nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts.

 

One of the most well-known facts about Corvallis is that it's the home of Oregon State University—go Beavers! OSU plays a big role in the city's culture, with students, research, and sporting events bringing a lot of energy to town. The university's campus is also beautiful, with historic buildings and peaceful green spaces that anyone can explore.

 

Corvallis also has a rich history and some unique landmarks. It became the state capital for a brief time in the 1850s before the capital moved back to Salem. Downtown Corvallis is full of locally-owned shops, cafés, and the scenic Riverfront Commemorative Park along the Willamette River. Just outside of town, you'll find hiking trails like those in Bald Hill or Fitton Green, making it easy to enjoy Oregon's natural beauty right in your backyard.
